In her role as a supervising attorney, Julia applies over 16 years of experience in family and juvenile law to oversee SIJ cases, meet with clients before their court appearances, and train volunteer attorneys to handle SIJ hearings.

Julia joined the RILA team in April 2021, and she is passionate about supporting the most vulnerable. Since earning her Juris Doctorate from the George Mason School of Law in 2008, she has gained extensive experience resolving legal concerns of Northern Virginia children, parents, elders and families. Additionally, Julia is a Certified Guardian Ad Litem for Children.

As a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish, Julia is able to ensure that her clients are well-equipped to understand the nuances of their cases, and she loves knowing that her work makes a direct impact in the lives of the most vulnerable.
