Kolleen Gladden-Sorensen

Staff Attorney

Kolleen Gladden-Sorensen joined RILA in 2024. She loves to work alongside individuals navigating the legal system as they identify and pursue their goals, and she is thrilled to be working for an organization that takes honoring its clients so seriously. 

Prior to joining RILA, Kolleen served as a Domestic Violence/Family Law Staff Attorney at Legal Aid D.C., assisting clients with securing civil protection orders, custody, and child support. From October 2021 to April 2023, Kolleen worked as a Robert F. Kennedy Fellow at Housing Works, Inc., in Brooklyn, NY, helping clients living with HIV/AIDS access government services and engaging in impact litigation targeting illegal discrimination. 

Kolleen graduated with a B.A. and B.S.Tech from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, where she received the 2018 Outstanding Senior Woman award. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, Kolleen was awarded the Claire M. Corcoran Award for extraordinary commitment to public service as well as the 2021 Pro Bono Award.
