Mary Nell Bryant
Volunteer Legal Advocate
Since joining RILA in 2024, Mary has helped RILA navigate the onslaught of challenges and multi-tasking necessary to navigate the ever-changing immigration law that shapes asylum cases.
Mary brings a deep knowledge of international politics and federal bureaucracy to her role at RILA, with a background as a Public Diplomacy Officer at the Department of State and a congressional staff member working with Eastern European parliaments after the fall of the Soviet Union.
One aspect of RILA’s work that Mary appreciates is how the staff balances the weight of the work with laughter, joy, and support for each other and our clients. It makes a concrete difference for clients as they pursue lasting security and hope for a better life in the United States.
