Masheed graduated from Kabul University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2019 and now works as a part-time legal Assistant fellow at RILA. Her work focuses on providing essential and comprehensive support to senior staff members, enhancing the effectiveness of the organization, and helping protect the most vulnerable members of our community.

She is passionate about this mission because, after the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in 2021, she became an immigrant herself and fled to the United States in search of a better life. Through her work at RILA, she hopes to provide others with the same opportunities she was given and to give back to the country she now calls home
