Mirna Galdamez

Legal Advocate

Mirna is one of RILA’s legal advocates, focusing primarily on handling client communication and gathering the information necessary for clients to complete their applications. She first came to RILA as an intern while she completed her degree at Marymount University, where she worked with the Dreamer community.

With a Bachelor’s degree in sociology and double minors in Spanish and Law, Mirna pairs her expertise with deep compassion. She is deeply passionate about helping clients share their stories because they want to be seen, heard, and understood, regardless of whether they are standing in front of a RILA staff member, a judge, or an asylum officer.

For Mirna, a core part of RILA’s identity is found in collaboration, as everyone learns from each other in their efforts to bring restoration to clients through the lens of Psalm 138:8.
